The home game, against Macclesfield, once again highlighted just how good a keeper Mark Tyler is.

Approaching the veteran stage, Tyler produced save after save to keep Luton in a match they, quite honestly, shouldn`t have had a prayer of getting anything from. In fact I`m sure I saw the Macclesfield striker, Holroyd, offer a few wry smiles when Tyler denied him from securing the game for Macclesfield on a number of occasions.

After the game, John Still, talking to the local media, spoke about Tyler`s attributes, particularly his experience, being of use to Luton with the boss remarking,

“Mark`s an experienced keeper. We need that experience; we need that to rub off on the young ones, particularly someone like Lacey in front of him. We need that to rub off. But listen, Mark`s a good goalkeeper, so we know by and large what we`re getting from him.”

Let`s hope that Mark can remain injury free this season as Luton try to push for promotion, without him we`re far less solid at the back!
