Occupying one of the three relegation places, in the Championship table, before the trip to Middlesbrough, last Saturday, and with storm Dennis raging, the Hatters faithful did themselves proud supporting their side.

Despite the conditions, 800 hardy souls travelled to the Riverside Stadium to see the Hatters make it two wins on the bounce.

Now that may not be as many as travel to other away games but considering the vast difference the fans had to travel perhaps the following point helps to put things into perspective.

The Hatters following of 800 was the fifth largest away following, in Championship games, at the Riverside Stadium this season, only Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County, Huddersfield Town and West Bromwich Albion have taken more with all four clubs, when it comes to location, being considerable closer to Teesside, location wise.

To all those that made the journey, well done and please give yourselves a pat on the back. Now let’s see how many can get to The Valley, on Saturday, for the fixture against Charlton Athletic.
