There has been a lot of column inches generated about the actions of a certain steward at the Montgomery Waters Meadow on Saturday.
Unlike numerous stewards we’ve come across, on our travels, this particular one, Loviu Ngozule, was unique.
He didn’t act as if he was a policeman in a yellow jacket, instead, he took time out to help a disabled Luton Town supporter celebrate the Hatters goals by lifting him out of his chair to join in the celebrations and then placing him back in it.
He certainly went beyond and above the call of duty.
As a result, when it came to Shrewsbury Town’s announcement, on social media, there was only ever going to be one winner:
MAN OF THE MATCH: The votes are in! We think everyone at Shrewsbury and @LutonTown will agree with us that the award should go to Loviu Ngozulu! Amazing job, you should be very proud for going above and beyond what was expected of you. ???????????? pic.twitter.com/7cZrbobVDQ

Football is a game and it is great that this disabled supporter was helped to cheer his team after each goal. This is over and above for a steward especially as he was helping an away supporter
