The defeat on Tuesday evening, against Wycombe Wanderers, may or may not have been the catalyst for the Hatters to decide to add to their squad on the January transfer deadline day.

Having already covered the loan-signing of the Ipswich Town midfielder, Flynn Downes, the Hatters surprised us by sealing two further deals, both permanent ones.

Nathan Jones and his coaching team have brought the young Liverpool defender Lloyd Jones to Kenilworth. Jones, 22-years-of-age, hasn`t made an appearance for Liverpool but has recently spent time on loan at Swindon Town.

Also joining the Hatters is the Plymouth striker Jake Jervis. Jervis, who is twenty-six years-of-age has managed to get into double figures during his previous two seasons in League Two.

Both players have joined Luton Town Football Club for undisclosed fees and both have put pen-to-paper on two-and-a-half-year deals.

Here at Vital Luton Town we`d like to welcome both Jake Jervis and Lloyd Jones to Kenilworth Road, here`s hoping that both have an enjoyable and successful time at Kenilworth Road.
