Hatters Set For Titanic Carabao Cup Game Against Leicester City

|

Tonight, weather permitting, Luton Town take a break from Championship football to take on Premier League Leicester City in a Carabao Cup 3rd round tie.

As far as ties go this is what we, here at Vital Luton Town, would call a real tough one.

Leicester City, now managed by Brendan Rodgers, are flying high in the Premier League, sitting in third place, behind Manchester City and Liverpool.

Luton, on the other hand, have, under their new manager, Graeme Jones, have had a disappointing start to the season sitting in 21st place with just 7 points from 8 games.

In the last fixture, Leicester came from a goal behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1, whilst the Hatters slipped to a disastrous 3-0 home defeat, against Hull City.

But cup-ties tend to be different matters and with Leicester City expected to rotate their squad, Luton could pull off the surprise of the round.

The tie could also see a quick return to Kenilworth Road for Justin James who left the Hatters to join the Foxes in the summer. Hopefully, Justin will get the ovation he deserves from the Hatters support.

Please join us later when we’ll be unveiling the teams on what could be a night to remember.
