This afternoon, the Hatters are up on the north-west coast, taking on Blackpool in a League One fixture.
For some it will be a weekend away as the last dregs of summer disappear into the autumnal months, for others it will be a long dash up the motorways followed by a return south straight after the match.
Here at Vital Luton Town, we’ve gone all posh and have opted to stay just up the road, at Fleetwood, a tram ride away from the tacky seaside resort.
Ahead of the game, a fixture we’re all hoping that the Hatters can win to improve their poor away record this season, we used our poll to gauge how those who frequent this site believe the game will end.
We gave you three options to choose from:
• Luton Town to win.
• Blackpool to win.
and
• A draw.
The result proved to be surprising with Blackpool emerging, with 46% of the votes cast as being the more likely team to win.
Votes cast for the Hatters weren’t far behind though, with Luton claiming 39% of the votes cast.
As for the draw, 15% believed that would be the end result.
Hopefully, the 39% who went for the Luton win will be correct, otherwise, it’ll be a glum Saturday night up here looking out onto the Irish sea drowning our sorrows.
