Flicking through the various sites relating to Luton Town Football Club, it seems that we missed out on a transfer deadline day signing.

Reports suggest that Luton Town were interested in bringing the Barnet striker Keanu Marsh-Brown to Kenilworth Road.

A move for the player was presumably accepted by Barnet with Marsh-Brown missing the trip to Southport on Saturday.

However, it appears that Luton, like some other clubs, were scared off by Barnet`s valuation of the player with Still quoted as remarking to the local media,

“It`s something that I spoke to the chairman about, but I think as has shown with other clubs that were interested in him, the value of him is too high.”

“It`s too high for a Championship club and didn`t represent any value.”

“There were other clubs that were possibly interested in this situation, and obviously they didn`t think it was the right value. We didn`t think by a long way is the right value.”

Perhaps it is worth pointing out that Marsh-Brown only scored eleven goals last season, but as for the price Barnet were asking, we are none the wiser!
