Project Luton Part 2, under the leadership of John Still requires our fine football club to firmly establish itself back in the Football League.

There can be no flirtation with a return to the Conference, everything has to be just right.

To that effect John Still has made his first signing of the close season bringing Curtley Williams to Kenilworth Road on a two year contract.

Williams, 24 years of age, is a right back who is also able to fill in at centre-back. He started his career on the books of Ipswich Town but was released before joining the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain.

Some impressive work, in Spain, saw Williams` career head to South African football before he returned to England to play for Lowestoft Town.

Playing for the Suffolk outfit this season, Williams has been watched by Luton with John Still revealing on the official web-site

“We`ve watched Curtley extensively this season and we`ve all been very impressed.”

“He is an ambitious man who comes under the ‘young and hungry` bracket, and one we see having a bright future ahead of him.”

“He likes to get forward, he has great energy and pace, and he is an ideal age. He`s not a kid, not a teenager that perhaps lacks that little bit of nous, but he`s got experience and, most importantly, he`s a player who we see can improve and develop further.”

Welcome to Kenilworth Road Curtley, here at Vital Luton Town we hope your stay is a fruitful one for both parties and that you grasp the opportunity playing for Luton Town Football Club presents.
