Although many of us feel it is essential that the Hatters add some players to the squad, in this January window, we’re well aware that our operating budget means the club has to be prudent with their cash.

With that being the case, if the Hatters are to recruit, then anyone, of any ability, available on a free transfer or on loan could be in the frame.

The last twenty-four hours have seen speculation emerge, as championed by the local media source, Dunstable Today, that Luton Town could be in the market to sign an international winger with the reputed target being Izet Hajrovic, a 28-year-old who is on the books of the Croatian side, Dinamo Zagreb.

Hajrovic is, it seems, under contract with Dinamo Zagreb until 2012 but has been unable to secure first-team football this season.

Consequently, the player, who has played 27 times for Bosnia and Herzegovina could be available on a fee.

However, speculation leads me to ask TWO questions.

1 – Is a winger really what Luton Town, right now, need?

and

2 – Is he any better than what we currently have on the books?

Here at Vital Luton Town, we’d appreciate your views on the above subject matter.
