At Kenilworth Road this afternoon, a very youthful Hatters side knocked the current holders of the FA Trophy, out of the competition.
Whilst Wrexham fielded a strong eleven that wouldn`t look out of place in a Conference Premier fixture, John Still chose to field a very young Hatters side just as he had done in the previous round.
The youngsters repaid Still`s faith in them with a sparkling display, especially in the opening forty-five minutes when Wrexham were played off of the park.
Unfortunately, Luton had only a one goal advantage, come the half time whistle, with the goal coming from Mark Cullen who headed home a corner, taken by Shaun Whalley, at the far post.
Wrexham came out stronger in the second half and had Luton back-pedalling at times, however Luton weathered the onslaught and the game was wrapped up when the Wrexham defender Neil Ashton steered a corner, taken by Whalley into his own net.
