Hatters in FA Trophy Action!

The Hatters make the short trip to Cambridge this Saturday, for an FA Trophy tie.

The fixture pits the top two in the Conference Premier against each other and as a result there is the potential that both the managers, John Still (Luton) and Richard Money (Cambridge United), will treat the games as something of a poker match.

With only the one automatic promotion place up for grabs, I suspect neither manager, although they probably know each other`s sides very well, will want to give any secrets up.

Obviously, promotion is the priority for both clubs and John Still has already indicated that there will be wholesale changes as he opts to field squad fringe members and youngsters, whether Cambridge have the same depth to their squad remains to be seen.

It`s been a hectic festive period for Luton and Still is aware that some of his squad could do with a week off, plus he also has several players coming back from injury who could do with a good run-out.

Being a cup tie we expect a feisty encounter and we hope that the game is settled on the day. With promotion the priority we don`t want, or need, a replay.

Can Luton edge past Money`s outfit? I`d like to think so but I won`t lose much sleep if we do get edged out, after all, promotion is really our goal, is it not!
