Earlier this week, here at Vital Luton Town, we ran an article covering the draw for the first round of the Carabao Cup.
In our article, Click Here, we offered the suggestion that our League One campaign was the priority this season, but we wouldn’t argue too much if we drew a plum tie in the first round.
Well, as we may have mentioned in our article, the draw took place in Vietnam this morning.
The Hatters were, as it turns out, given the plum tie of the round, being drawn away to the Championship side West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies are, as it happens, the only side relegated from the Premier League to feature in the first-round tie.
The fixture, scheduled to be played in the week commencing Monday 13th August, will give the Hatters the perfect opportunity to provide something of a giant-killing.
But, remember, before you all get carried away and start dreaming of Wembley, our League One campaign is our priority.
