After holding off the valiant challenge of the League Two side, Bury, winning 1-0, the Hatters support were eagerly waiting to see who their side would be paired with in the 3rd round draw that took place this evening.

The draw, live on BBC2, is the most eagerly awaited of the competition with, having been exempt from the first two rounds, those who play in the Premier League and the Championship join in.

Looking for a glamorous tie, the Hatters were given a difficult looking trip away to the Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.

It’s not the draw we’d hoped for, but it does give Luton the chance to step up and show how they can perform against a side that plays in the tier above us in the Football League.

Plus, the large capacity Hillsborough has will enable the Hatters to take as many supporters to the tie as wish to go.
