With the January transfer window set to close at midnight tomorrow, Thursday, it remains to be seen whether there is any activity involving Luton Town Football Club.

So far, this window, the Hatters have added George Moncur to their squad and the midfielder showed his worth by scoring a marvellous winner in the 3-2 win against Portsmouth, on Tuesday evening.

Yesterday (Tuesday), also saw the Hatters bid farewell to a young defender who hasn’t quite been able to break into the first-team on a regular basis.

After spending the first part of the season, on loan at Grimsby Town, Akin Famewo saw his loan spell ended prematurely so that he could complete a move to the Championship side, Norwich City.

Famewo has signed a 19-month deal with the Norfolk side with the fee being, as it is so often, as undisclosed.

The BBC covering the deal carries the following remarks from Akin,

“I’m just so happy to be here.

“I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time.

“Norwich is where my mum’s side of the family are from. It’s a big thing for me to be here because since I was young, I was always interested in Norwich and my family are big fans of the club. It’s a privilege to be here.”

Here at Vital Luton Town, we’d like to thank Akin for his contribution to the cause and wish him well at his new club, you just never know, our paths could cross again, in the Championship next season.
