With promotion secured to League One, there should be something of a party atmosphere at Kenilworth Road this afternoon when Luton Town take on Forest Green Rovers.

With near to a full-house expected, the support are looking for their side to produce a performance befitting a promoted side.

However, ahead of the game, the Hatters boss, Nathan Jones, has issued a warning about the occasion detracting from the performance, remarking to the media,

“I don’t want the match to be just a party and a non-event.

“I do want it to be a celebration, but I want there to be an edge.

“Accrington are in wonderful form and it’s hard to envisage them losing their last three games.

“But this is football and things happen.

“I want to finish the season strongly anyway to give us momentum going into next year.”

With promotion assured, hopefully Luton will play with the shackles off and we can produce the kind of free-flowing, prolific scoring football we started the season with.
