After missing the start of the season through suspension, Danny Hylton’s season has been stop-start.

Returning to action, after suspension, Hylton, as he’s expected to do, got back amongst the goals.

Unfortunately, he was conspicuous by his absence as the Hatters ground out a 1-1 draw away to Wycombe Wanderers, last weekend.

Hylton, troubled by a thigh problem, was forced to sit the game out.

Tonight, with a Checkatrade Trophy game against Brighton U21’s, it was hoped by the Hatters faithful that Hylton would get a run-out.

But, it isn’t going to happen.

Nathan Jones, talking to the local media and as reported by the media vehicle, Dunstable Today, has remarked,

“Hylts, we won’t risk getting him involved.

“We’ll give Hylts the maximum time possible to recover from his injection and once he recovers from that then we’ll know he’s ready.”

I guess it makes sense, no point in risking losing our main striker for a prolonged period of time.
