The re-shape of the squad, ahead of the start of the 2017 / 2018 season, has seen another Hatter leave Kenilworth Road.

News has just broken that Jack Marriott has left Luton Town Football Club to join the League One side, Peterborough United.

In stark contrast to recent deals which have used the technology ‘undisclosed fee` it appears that Peterborough United have paid Luton Town a ‘substantial fee` for the 22-year-old striker.

Marriott leaves Kenilworth Road having made 47 appearances and scoring on 12 occasions last season.

The striker has penned a four-year deal with the London Road club and the Peterborough United manager, Grant McCann has remarked about the player to the media,

‘He is like a young Craig Mackail-Smith in terms of his energy and his pace to run in behind and it is perhaps something that we have missed.

‘I believe it is a good coup for us because there were a couple of Championship clubs in for him.’

Here at Vital Luton Town we`d like to wish Jack all the best at Peterborough and also take this opportunity to thank him for his contribution to the Hatters cause.
