Growing That Fan Base

Yet again, last night, the Hatters support did the club proud.

Almost 6,000 supporters, well 5,934 to be precise, filled the ground to cheer their side on.

However, credit should also be given to the club itself for the implementation of a number of initiatives designed to fill the ground.

One of these saw tickets distributed to local schools to enable those of a younger age to witness Luton in action.

One recipient of this gesture was my grandson who proudly walked out of the backdoor last night eagerly anticipating seeing his first real football match.

It proved to be quite an experience for him, even if he was a little overwhelmed and occasionally a little bored between the two goals.

But, overall, I reckon he enjoyed the experience and I reckon he`ll be back and if only half of those who benefitted from free tickets do something similar then our fan base will be maintained and, perhaps, grow!
