When Nathan Jones decided to look at his squad and re-jig it for the forthcoming League One campaign, one of those who was told he would not be retained was Lawson D’Ath.

D’Ath, signed from Northampton Town, back in 2017, for an undisclosed fee, struggled to hold down a regular place in the Hatters starting eleven and it was probably no real surprise when it was announced that he’d be leaving Kenilworth Road.

However, it would appear, according to the local media source, Dunstable Today, Lawson won’t be out of work for very long with our reference source carrying quotes from the 25-year-old that read,

“There’s three or four teams, so I’m just waiting on a few things.

“When you’re out of contract, you’re just waiting, we’ll see what happens. It will hopefully be done within the next couple of weeks or so.”

However, there’s no mention of which clubs are interested in the player.

But Lawson, reacting to the news he was being released, left a great tweet on his social network site, which read,

Here at Vital Luton Town, we’re hoping that the player who made 26 appearances for the Hatters, during his time with us, gets a deal sorted out soon.
