Forest Green (A) – Preview

This Saturday, Luton supporters will be desperately hoping that the team, assembled by John Still, produces a performance worthy of the label promotion challengers.

In the three games we`ve witnessed so far, that hasn`t been the case. In the season opener against Southport we were off the pace, in the second game we just about scraped home against Salisbury and last time out we needed a 7th minute injury time equalizer to thwart a Macclesfield side that gave us the runaround.

Still has had a week to iron out any problems and what better place than Forest Green Rovers to produce a performance to get ourselves noticed. Our opposition, this Saturday, are hotly tipped to be part of the promotion pack, although it should be said that they too have started in a similar fashion to us.

But, ahead of the Forest Green game, Luton have several injury concerns with 5 players definitely not available for selection.

Missing out on the trip are:-

? Solomon Taiwo – hamstring
? Alex Lawless – groin
? Danny Fitzsimmons – knee
? Anthony Charles – shoulder
? Alex Wall – illness

Jon Shaw, who has been struggling with a hernia problem, will ignore the pain and lead the line.

The fixture is a crucial one for Luton as the three games that follow are amazingly, against all the sides that failed in the promotion play-offs last season, three games that could define our season, as nobody likes to play catch-up.

Luton will be cheered on, as usual, by a large contingent of away supporters, hopefully Luton will produce the kind of performance that will have them on their toes cheering instead of the lack-lustre displays we`ve seen recently.

As for a result, I`ll go 2-1 to Luton!

Come on you Hatters!
