Back in the days immediately after promotion to the Championship had been confirmed, here at Vital Luton Town, we reported on how a decision had to be made relating to the future of Kazenga LuaLua.
Our article, luton-hierarchy-set-to-make-an-important-decision, received a positive response with the Hatters support wanting to see the player remain at Kenilworth Road.
However, sadly, that hasn’t proven to be the case with LuaLua confirming, via his Twitter account:
Well after an unsuccessful meeting today me and Luton FC will be going our separate ways much to my dissappointment! Thanks to The boys for making me part of the family since joining the club. All the best for this season @LutonTown
— Kazenga LuaLua (@kazenga30) July 5, 2019
that the two parties could not come to an agreement with regards to the player remaining at Kenilworth Road.
Naturally, such news has been disappointingly greeted by the Hatters faithful with the following social media posts illustrating the point perfectly:
Cheers for everything and all the best, but we move on.

Wish you the best! But not gonna get emotional like some! It’s about the club not individual’s

What a shame. Thank you for what you did last season. Onwards and upwards for both you and our wonderful club. Hope you find a club and have a great season.

However, perfectly aware of the need to balance the books, something previous regimes at Kenilworth Road have spectacularly failed to do, there are also some posts that believe the Hatters hierarchy have done the right thing:
Wish you the best for the future but 2020 will not break the bank like previous owners.

No worries. You did alright last year but I'm sure you'll look back on this day with regret. You could've been part of the biggest phase in our club's history. I hope you find the money you want, but you'll never find a united club like Luton.

Here at Vital Luton Town, we’re sorry to see LuaLua leave the club, he’s one of those players that can, in an instant, change a game, but there has to be a financial balance adhered to and if the player and the club couldn’t reach an agreement it has to be for the best that he’s let go.
Good luck in the future though Kazenga from all at Vital Luton Town.
