Since signing from York City he`s not had what might be described as the best of times.
But, this season, the signs are there that the player has turned that around and that he I snow getting the recognition from the town faithful that he deserves.
His two strikes yesterday, especially the first one, were greeted with great relief by the 6,000 inside Kenilworth Road and it was his name on the lips of everybody as they made their way home.
After the game, Paul Buckle had this to say about Alex, commenting to the local journalists,
“The first was an unbelievable strike and a quality finish.”
“He was given too much space to run into and that was a result of changing our system to try and get at them.”
“Alex has really been on his game. We know what he can do on that right side, and then he`s gone and got another one.”
Let`s keep them coming Alex, even more so with a date against old-foes Cambridge United looming in the FA Cup.
