FA Cup 3rd Round – Sheffield Wednesday 0 Luton Town 0

A very respectable crowd of just under 17,000 saw the Hatters battle hard to earn a replay in their FA Cup 3rd round tie, against Sheffield Wednesday, at Hillsborough.

Cheered on by a large travelling contingent, the Hatters more than held their own against their Championship opponents in a game where both sides lacked that cutting edge to win the tie at the first attempt.

Sheffield Wednesday probably had the better of the chances created with the Scottish international striker, Steven Fletcher, going close on two occasions whilst the Luton keeper, James Shea, did well to foil efforts from Marco Matias either side of the break.

The Hatters best chance came late on when a shot from Elliott Lee flashed across the Sheffield Wednesday goal.

The draw saw the Hatters extend their unbeaten run as they look to make this season a remarkable one.

The replay will take place at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday, 15th January, bring it on.
