Everything Points To A Luton Win At Reading

Having sat twiddling our thumbs for what seemed like an eternity, following the pandemics intrusion into our season, the games are now coming thick and fast.

Just four days after, at Kenilworth Road, we witnessed that thrilling injury time win against promotion chasing Bournemouth, Luton make the relatively short trip to take on Reading, at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

The last time Reading played at home they were trounced, 7-0, by the current Championship leaders Fulham. But they showed that they are capable of better form as they showed, on Saturday, when they pushed Middlesbrough all the way, at the Riverside Stadium, before the game finished 2-1 to the home side.

But, with the game just a day away, how do, according to our poll, do the Hatters faithful see this game going?

Well, our poll shows that 78% believe it will be Luton journeying home with the three points while a further 14% believe it will be a case of the honours, on the night, being shared with only 8% believe that Reading will get the victory.

But, ahead of the game, what does Sky Sports resident expert, David Prutton, believe the outcome will be?

Seemingly, Prutton predicts nothing but success for Luton, believing it will be a 2-0 win for Luton with the former professional remarking:

“Luton were brilliant against Bournemouth. To be pegged back like they were, but then rally to win the game shows how much character they have. They will be on a real high and should use that to claim all three points in this one.”

Let’s hope that the 78% (from our poll) and Mr Prutton are correct, as three points could see us climb a couple of places up the table and add credence to our hopes of securing a play-off place.

Tomorrow nights gamw will be more difficult than we all think we do tend to struggle against teams in the lower half of the table i think on paper we should win this but we all know that this league can give surprises just look at are redult on Saturday COYH

some very astute words from Colin, the Championship has to be one, if not the most difficult Division to predict results, anyone on their day can turn over anyone.
Reading have turned into a basket case club and are all over the place, along with their points deduction their captain Liam Moore has now said he want’s out and has subsequently been stripped of the captaincy. In form Andy Carroll who has been instrumental in their recent points haul has thankfully played his last game and won’t be returning now his loan spell ended.
It all points to a good time for us to play Reading, our tails will be up following two morale boosting wins but will have to put in another solid performance to take all 3 points on Wednesday night against a team we’ve beaten just twice away in the league in the last 50 years !
