Errors Contribute To Another Away Defeat As Luton Slip Down The Championship Table

|

After the joy of beating Wigan Athletic, on Saturday, it was obviously too much for the Hatters support to hope that their team could make it two wins on the bounce.

Was that really too much to hope for against a side that were below us in the Championship table?

Apparently so!

After a bright start, or as Graeme Jones put it to the local radio, The BBC:

“For 35 minutes we came to Stoke and reasonably controlled the game. I can’t remember them having an effort on goal.”

Those that made the journey to the Potteries had to put up with the same dross that has been all too familiar on the road this season.

Our away form has now seen us lose the last 6 games whilst conceding 20 goals.

But it is the manner in which most of those goals are being conceded, as Jones added in his interview with The BBC:

“There’s an individual error and all of a sudden we’re 1-0 down. We got picked off for 2-0 and we tried to change a few things at half-time.

“Another individual error and we’re 3-0 down and the game is finished. It’s happened too often. You can’t play at this level of football and give goals away and we’re doing that too much at the minute.”

Yes, we are and unless these individual errors can be eliminated then I foresee a long, hard winter, how about you?

Preston North End v Luton Town?

Preston to Win!

Preston to Win!

Luton to Win!

Luton to Win!

A Draw!

A Draw!
