Luton will be looking to take impetus from their 4-1 win at home to Northampton and hoping to achieve their first away win of the season.

The 4-3 away debacle at Gillingham in the JPT may have obscured, somewhat, the fact that Luton have not lost in three league games and will no doubt want to keep that run going.

Crewe have not won for six games, in fact they have only won 2 of their matches this season, drawing 4 times and losing 5.

In their last home match, fellow strugglers Bournemouth beat them 4-1, so Luton can expect a scrap, with the bookmakers favouring Crewe at 6-4 and Luton at 2-1.

Vital Quotes:

Kevin Blackwell on lutontown.co.uk: ‘It’s going to be a tough game at Crewe. They will try to kick and scrap on Saturday, just like Huddersfield did. We need to maintain the form from Monday night.’

Dario Gradi told Crewealex.co.uk:

‘Luton are potentially a big club and have played at the very highest level and won trophies. There is a good fan base there and we know it will be another hard game on Saturday. We have got to be thinking about what we want to do and how we can improve. We need to create more chances, we know that and hopefully we can put on a better performance on Saturday.’

Crewe Alexandra Team News:

Nicky Maynard, Stuart Tomlinson and Steven Schumacher are all missing for Crewe.

Player to watch: Lee Barnard

Loanee from Tottenham who likes to put it about on the pitch.

Luton Town Team News:

Sam Parkin, Paul Underwood and Paul Peschisolido are all still out but there are no new injury worries for the Town

If he can raise himself for an away game, he could well be a big influence on the match.
