Back in the summer, ahead of the start of the 2021/2022 season, speculation suggested the Hatters were interested in signing Elliot Anderson.

Such interest was covered by The Chronicle Live, and, by ourselves – luton-interested-in-signing-premier-league-midfielder.

The interest, as you are probably aware, came to nothing.

But could a new approach reap rewards?

With new owners and a new manager running the show, perhaps an opportunity remains to lure Anderson away from St James Park, even more so with Newcastle United looking as if they intend to bolster their squad, significantly, during this January transfer window.

The youngster has performed well playing for the Newcastle U23 side and the opportunity to join Luton, possibly on loan, could be seen as an ideal opportunity for the midfielder to get some valuable first team experience.

But what are your views on a possible approach?

Would it get a green light or a red light from you?

Personally I’m totally ambivalent about it. Think there’s more urgent priorities at the moment.

I agree, let some of the youngsters have a go.

We need a talented midfielder – We miss Berrys excellent football brain and a midfielder that passes forwards not backwards. This guy could do a KDH for us and is a youngster anyway. All the other places in the team are ok. I would sell Hylton and Lee – let them both make another good name for themselves in a lower league – lets be fair to them.
