The speculation doing the rounds that suggested Luton Town were keen to sign Paul Connolly has proven to be correct.

The Hatters have announced that Connolly, a free agent after leaving Crawley Town, has joined Luton Town Football Club on a free transfer.

Connolly, a right-back, has signed a one year deal to become John Still`s fifth signing of the summer following Andy Drury, Ross Lafayette, Curtley Williams and Ricky Miller into the Kenilworth Road dressing room.

In recent weeks John Still had hinted that he was looking to bring some experience to the Hatters squad and with the signing of Connolly the manager has done just that.

It`s believed that 30 year-old Connolly turned down the advances of several Football League clubs to opt for life at Kenilworth Road.

Here at Vital Luton Town we`d like to officially welcome Paul Connolly to Kenilworth Road and we hope his stay is a fruitful one for all concerned.
