Come on You Hatters!

It`s Boxing Day, in a matter of minutes I`ll be hitting the road.

I like 1,700 others will be hitting the road, steering the car onto the M1 for the short drive down to the outskirts of London.

My destination, like those 1,700 others will be Barnet!

We`ll be part of the largest travelling support Luton have mustered this season as we attempt to keep the pressure up on Cambridge United.

1,700 is a huge amount of people for non-league club, it`s more than some League clubs get at home, it is truly a credit to the fine support that Luton still has, despite our appalling treatment at the hands of those who saw us booted into non-league football.

For Luton the game, against a side managed by the Dutch legend Edgar Davids, can`t come soon enough, we`re flying, we`re on a long unbeaten run and we`ve narrowed the gap on Cambridge to a solitary point!

But we must not take our foot off the pedal, this time of the year is crucial, after Barnet we face another high-flying team in the shape of Kidderminster Harriers before we then welcome Barnet back to Kenilworth Road.

My festive dream is to see us get 9 points from these three games, 9 points that would see us, I believe, leap-frog over Cambridge and claim that top position.

For me, the season starts here, this first festive fixture will be the toughest but cheered on by those 1,700 fans, and I mean cheered on with every breath you have, we can get another win.

So come on you Hatters, sing up for the Town, we`re going up and you`d better believe us!
