Blackburn Rovers v Luton Town – Team Sheets Revealed

This Saturday, the Hatters resume their Championship programme, after the international break, with an intriguing trip to Ewood Park.

The trek to Blackburn is an immense one, with the two clubs separated by a distance of almost 200 miles, meaning a long day for the travelling Hatters support.

After taking a disappointing one point from the last six available, in games against Birmingham City and Sheffield United, the Luton support will be hoping that Nathan Jones can inspire his side and get back to winning ways.

It is no secret that Luton, like other clubs, have been hit by the ongoing pandemic and the isolation procedures that must be followed, therefore predicting the team is a difficult task.

But the Hatters appear to be better off than Blackburn with our hosts said to have eight players unavailable while Nathan Jones has indicated he almost has a full squad to choose from.

With the kick-off looming large, we are now able to bring you the team sheets.

Starting with our hosts Blackburn Rovers:

Continuing with Luton Town:

And as for the officials, look no further:

Referee – Oliver Langford
Assistant Referee – Paul Hodskinson
Assistant Referee – Richard Wild
Fourth Official – Andy Haines

Three points please Luton to set us up for the perfect weekend.

Hi mh, this side should be capable of a result. But really pelly starting again!!! When will he give lansbury a start. OK Alan I know there may still be injuries unknown but even so if both are there start lansbury 😁

  • Chris winter says:

No one here knows the answer to that. We have to assume so.

  • Alan says:

3 games in 8 days…might have something to do with it.

  • Chris winter says:

Campbell off injured an no sooner do we lose of our 2 toughest tackles than they score. You couldn’t make it up.

  • Chris winter says:

This isn’t going well 2-0 now!!

  • alan says:

red card all day long…..we still have enough to get at least a point here…

  • Chris winter says:

Omg Jerome knock down Berry scores 😁😁😁😁😁

It’s like I was watching Wycombe, complete dross.
    NJ doesn’t have a clue

We were still poor defencivly first half first touch was very poor. But with so many not having played. You have to give them time. To adjust back to playing. Second half grew into the game. Red card all day long but ha ho. Pity those who weren’t there can be so critical about the performance. Probably watched 5 mins of highlights which didn’t give a true picture.. Berry looks like a different player.

  • Alan says:

Like watching wycombe!!!!….unbelievable…..can’t bring myself to comment further on that post….agree chris that defensively again frail, but Bradley back made us look more steady….a lot of m.o.m candidates out there today….Sluga was one with a couple of class stops….

Hi Alan, just as well as he didn’t have the best of games. To be honest as has been said on here before doesn’t command his box as he should. But a great save late on after being blinded by a defender for the shot. Make no mistake this was a vital away point. An something we can build on. We are still looking for our best side. With all the injuries an still look like we are playing our first game of the season. Still say we need to start Jerome an lansbury. Anyway time for the long trek back now.

  • Alan says:

I’ve cheated m8, I’m in the bar at prem Inn cathedral Square centre of Blackburn…few locals in reckon they were lucky to get a draw…..some moan about NJ, you hear what they say about Mowbray…..

  • Andrew says:

Good point , and great team spirit to come back like that . But we have got to stop getting into This situation where we are fighting to get back in the game , I know we had all those players drop out before the game and that can’t be helped , we are going to have a good season if we can get to halftime without being two goals down . Hope AC is not out for long Gould have been a red all day long . Coyh

Andrew with all due respect. How is nj supposed to affect the players once a game starts. He sets a team up at the beginning of the week. That is going to start an their duties. Then on the morning of the game a player goes sick an another is injured in the warm up. Meaning all plans go out of the window. Due to injuries the defense has chopped an changed every game. So there is no continuity. Those who went will tell you the team never lost heart an were always in the game. Fighting for each other. Campbell was badly injured with ankle ligament an will be out for weeks. This was ugly yes but make no mistake it was a very good point we earned. An those who wanted kdh back well they should have seen landsburys passing abilities!!! Also those idiots after the game claiming nj is clueless watched 5 mins of highlights probably an rarely have anything to back up their claims. A point gained away however ugly is great for us against monied teams?

truly awful tackle on campbell, hope for speedy return.what a difference bradley made. they started passing the ball lovely to watch. berry will have his name pencilled in on the team sheet. he looked very comfortable on the ball. and lansbury passing skills are perfect. score should have been 2-3. the jerome goal was not offside, but a lovely floated header. ref was shambolic. let a lot of dodgy tackles go,risking the livelyhood of professional players. overall a great fightback.COYH
