With the Hatters support still reeling over the news that Olly Lee is set to leave Luton to join Hearts, in the Scottish Premier League, it is being reported that another of the promotion winning squad is also set to leave.

According to the media vehicle, Luton Today the Hatters defender Johnny Mullins is being linked with a move to the League Two side Cheltenham Town.

Mullins, now 32-years-of-age, is a free agent after his Hatters contract expired and is free to talk to other clubs.

The defender, who joined Luton Town from Oxford United at the same time as Danny Hylton, has made 51 appearances for the Hatters and has scored 3 goals.

Last season the defender didn’t feature as prominently as he’d have hoped for the Hatters and a move was probably on the cards.

Here at Vital Luton, we’d like to thank Johnny for his contribution to the Hatters cause and wish him well in his next career move.

However, we can fully understand why the decision has been made to move the defender on, with Mullins not being a regular and with his salary now off the wage bill it leaves Nathan Jones with an opportunity to, perhaps, bring someone else in this summer.
