On the day the loan transfer window slammed shut, Luton Town were able to welcome a new addition to the squad.

The Hatters, as confirmed by the BBC, moved swiftly to secure the services, for the rest of the season, the Leeds United midfielder, Eunan O’Kane.

O’Kane, 28-years-of-age, is a Republic of Ireland international who made 32 appearances for Leeds last season but who has yet to start this season for the Yorkshire side.

Talking to the Hatters official site and as reported by our referenced source, Nathan Jones had this to say about his latest acquisition:

“Eunan’s a wonderful player, a very good Championship level player.

“We had a number of options and Eunan was by far the best available, we felt, for how we play and what we do.

“Once we spoke to him and persuaded him that this was the right club for him, we were delighted to have him.”

The signing was both unexpected but most welcome and here at Vital Luton Town, we look forward to seeing the player in action. His experience, at a higher level, should prove to be invaluable as the Hatters seek to make progress in League One.
