Another day and another candidate for the vacant managerial position at Luton Town Football Club.

Yesterday, as the names of potential candidates grew, we saw the addition of the former Wales and Fulham manager, Chris Coleman, to the list, something we covered in the following article – It Is The Ideal Opportunity For This Manager To Make His Return With Luton Town FC.

Today, another possible candidate has emerged with the local media source Luton Today throwing the name of the Chelsea coach, Andy Myers, into the mix.

Myers is a member of the Chelsea backroom team who is currently in charge of youth development at Stamford Bridge.

A former Chelsea player, Myers has established a reputation as a coach who is more than capable of getting the best out of youngsters, something Chelsea have benefitted from this season.

However, unlike yesterday’s candidate, Chris Coleman, Myers is untested as a manager.

Any appointment would be a huge risk, it is a risk that could pay off or could fail spectacularly.

But is it a possible appointment that would get your approval?

Please feel free to vote in our poll and have a say in the comment facility beneath this article.

My view is that it is a piece of speculation that will not become a fact, but what do I know?

no more rookie managers please, Championship clubs don’t appoint inexperienced managers for a reason. Yes it worked with the welsh crackpot but we were a lower league team with less pressure and expectation. We need a proven manager with experience to take us forward again after our last rookie manager GJ was shown up to be out of his depth in the Championship as was NJ at Stoke with 7 wins from 35.
