On paper, six consecutive games without a win should point towards troubled times ahead.

Some would say that taking just four points out of the last eighteen available is relegation form, but I am not one of them.

Despite, previously expressing such thoughts, I saw enough yesterday, against top of the table Bournemouth to know that better things lie ahead.

Ahead of the game, Luton’s injury problems were common knowledge, and I would wager a bet that of the XI selected for the starting XI, several were carrying knocks that may have seen them side-lined if other options were available.

But, with a patched-up squad and falling 2-0 behind in the first half, the Hatters showed enough resilience to test a Bournemouth side who are many peoples’ favourites to make a return to the Premier League.

Indeed, if Elijah Adebayo had put his shooting boots on, we could have come away from The Vitality Stadium with all three points.

So, chins-up, Coventry arrive at Kenilworth Road in midweek and three more points are up for grabs.
