A Good Win and Looking Forward

Mike Newell was happy with the points as Luton Town beat Crystal Palace 2-0 but felt they could have finished the game off earlier!

In an interview on the official site he said ‘It is a good win for us but if we have got any complaints then it would be that we should have finished the job off a lot earlier than we did.’

‘We are happy with the performance and delighted with the result but we must learn to put sides to the sword because there will be a time when you need that third goal. I think we thoroughly deserved the win and I don’t think anyone who watched that game could argue with that.’

He added ‘I was a little surprised at how comfortable the victory was. We do have players who are currently hitting a bit of form and when we have a full strength squad to pick from then we think they are as good as anything we have seen in this league.’

He also says he is looking forward to taking on high flying Reading at the weekend ‘I am looking forward to it and we will go there as underdogs. We certainly wont go to Reading with any fear.’
