1999 Supporters To Be Allowed Into Luton’s Kenilworth Road Ground

Hang on a minute, I can hear you all shouting, it is 2000!

Well, it is, but I am like most others who follow Luton who believe they should be getting one of those valuable tickets.

How the Hatters will decide who gets these tickets remains to be seen.

But the devil inside me can not help but think the number will be drastically reduced once those who work within the club are allocated a percentage.

However, I am sure that however they are distributed there will be several thousand Hatters supporters who will end up disappointed.

Our home form, this season, has been a little mixed and I am hoping that the re-introduction of some home support, although they are likely to be scattered around our quaint ground, will see that suspect home form improve.

But do I agree with this sudden change in government policy?

Let us just say I find it a little strange that the rules are being changed at the same time as the COVID-19 daily death rate is at its highest since May.

Anyway, the best of luck to those who want a ticket, it will be a bit like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Golden Ticket fiasco!

Hi mh, so the council has decided that only 1,000 fans will be allowed in the Kenny how is that fair an the club has said long standing season ticket holders will have first dibs on attending. Great don’t they realise that long standing season ticket holders tend to be people at the most vulnerable age group an probably can’t risk coming out of self isolation. Typical blinkered vision by both!!! I’m 67 an won’t risk my health but have 40 yrs invested in the club as a season ticket holder. An I suspect many others will be in the same boat. A ballot should have been the way to go. Also I bet the owners have plenty of tickets for there hangers on.

I couldn’t agree more Chris, I’m 59 and a diabetic, so I won’t risk it seeing as I’m in a vulnerable group. As for the 1000 limit imposed by the council, lost for words mate, lost for words.

Exactly mate maybe they rushed the decision an didn’t think it through. As much as we long term supporters want to get back it makes no sense I’m one of the lucky people who can afford to pay for a season ticket but watch it them on stream but how many will risk their health to go an see the town so that they can? Its not right sorry but the club has got this all wrong
